missfrostHmm - perhaps I should elaborate a little. The conversation with the guy at work was partly tongue-in-cheek. I am not hated and despised at work, I have some great relationships, but they tend to be based wholly on sarcastic biting banter. I'm thrilled if anyone takes me up on it, and many people do, but those who don't 'get' it probably see me as a bit of a cow. Like I care!
These shoes are the most comfortable new shoes ever ever ever. Carine and I have just been on msn expanding and adding to the shoe theory on that basis!
And this morning I managed to make blazing eye contact with at least two nice young men on the bus. And I even smiled at one of them (a fellow Northerner, his pronunciation of Moorgate as Mewergate was being misunderstood by the driver which I thought was quite funny!)
Hmm - I am 'not mentioning the war' - we all have our own ways of considering these things. I spent a lot of the morning thinking about all the times the IRA bombed my wonderful home city. They've been awfully quiet haven't they?
